"Celebrating Women" returns with an eye on fashion | Events

Concord Mills, the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in North Carolina, will once again present “Celebrating Women,” a fashionista’s dream come true celebrating women and the love of fashion on Saturday, September 22. The trendsetting event will feature a series of in-store style presentations and giveaways, a high fashion runway show highlighting the season’s hottest style trends and more, with proceeds to benefit Carolina’s Medical Center NorthEast Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the health status of our community.

“Celebrating Women is a great way for us to showcase our unique brand of shopping with an unbeatable selection of more than 200 outlet and value retail stores,” said Holly Roberson, director of marketing and business development at Concord Mills. “We are excited to use this fashionable opportunity to support Carolina’s Medical Center NorthEast Foundation, in an effort to honor and empower women of all ages to be the best they can be.”

Attendees of Concord Mills’ Celebrating Women will be dazzled by a high-energy, trendsetting fashion show with professional models strutting on the catwalk in the season’s hottest trends beginning at 6 p.m.  Everything on the runway will be available for purchase from Concord Mills’ collection of chic stores. 

Throughout the afternoon women will also enjoy interactive fashion and style experiences, or Style Stops, hosted several of Concord Mills’ popular retailers. These in-store events will include special discounts, informal modeling, trunk shows, personal shoppers, giveaways, entertainment, refreshments and more to help women look and feel their best.  Popular retailers participating in the Celebrating Women festivities include Aéropostale, Banana Republic Factory Store, Charlotte Russe Outlet, DKNY Company Store, Forever 21, Guess Factory Store, LOFT Outlet, Off Broadway Shoes, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH and more. 

In addition, Concord Mills will honor an inspirational woman from Carolina’s Medical Center NorthEast, with a $500 shopping spree during the runway event.  The Foundation will also offer a special thank you to its core volunteers during a an exclusive after party, featuring complimentary refreshments, live entertainment and special giveaways, at Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH following the runway event.  Plus, as a kick-off to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a mobile mammogram bus will be on site providing complimentary exams until 3 p.m.

As part of this exciting event, a national contest starting late August will provide one lucky winner and a guest the chance to meet television personality and entertainment journalist Giuliana Rancic at Ontario Mills’ Celebrating Women event on October 17. The contest winner, selected at random, will enjoy ‘star’ treatment with complimentary airfare for two, a two-night hotel stay, VIP seating at the runway event hosted by Rancic, a $1,000 shopping spree at Ontario Mills and a makeover from a top LA stylist.
