The Amtrak 40th Anniversary train is stopped in Spencer through Sunday
Scenes from the past have been recreated as part of the exhibit
Poster displays are always popular

Brochures, tickets, and buttons from 40 years on Amtrak service are on display
One of the most popular exhibits is te interactive horn display. Guests can hear the sound of the horns used by Amtrak trains over the last 40 years

SPENCER - As mentioned in a prior story, the Amtrak 40th Anniversary Train is on display at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer this weekend.

On Friday WBTV was given a media preview to shoot some video and a few photographs of the exhibition.

You can enjoy the photos now, and see the video on WBTV News Saturday Morning with Kristen Miranda from 5am to 8 am.  The story on television will include comments from Sam Wegner, the new Executive Director of the NCTM.

If you'd like to see the exhibit in person, it's on display Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 4 pm.  There is no admission charge for the exhibit.  You do pay admission if you'd like to visit the NCTM.

And in case you wondered, the Amtrak exhibition is air conditioned and quite comfortable.
